2. Data we process

We may process your email address and waitlist subscription status; account and workspace information; presentation source text, instructions, generated output, and files; usage, device, security, and support data; and billing references. Plainline does not receive or store full payment card details.

3. Why we process data

We process data to operate the waitlist, send requested product updates, provide and secure Plainline, generate and store presentations, provide support, administer billing, prevent abuse, understand coarse product usage, and comply with legal obligations.

4. Waitlist and email

When you join the waitlist, your email address is sent to Kit, our email service provider, so we can manage the subscription and send Plainline updates. You can unsubscribe through any email we send or by contacting [email protected].

5. AI processing

Presentation source and generation instructions may be sent to DeepSeek to create presentation content. DeepSeek may process or store data in the People's Republic of China. Do not submit confidential, sensitive, regulated, or another person's personal data unless you are authorized to do so and understand the applicable risks.

6. Payments and service providers

Lemon Squeezy processes checkout and payment data as Merchant of Record. Other providers may support object storage, transactional email, security, hosting, and product operations. These providers receive data only as needed to perform their services.

7. Analytics and cookies

Plainline may record coarse product actions and technical data needed to operate, secure, and improve the service. Analytics must not include presentation source text, prompts, provider payloads, payment details, signed URLs, or waitlist email content. Where consent is required, non-essential analytics remains disabled until consent is given.

8. Security and model training

Plainline uses technical and organizational measures designed to protect your data, including encryption for source text and presentations before storage. Plainline does not use your source text or presentations to train its own models. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

9. Retention

Waitlist data is retained until you unsubscribe, ask us to delete it, or it is no longer needed for the waitlist. Account content is retained while your account is active and then deleted or de-identified under our retention schedule and legal obligations. Security, support, billing-reference, and legal records may be retained for the periods required to protect the service and comply with law.

10. International processing

Our providers may process data outside your country. This includes the processing described above by DeepSeek in the People's Republic of China. Where required, we use appropriate contractual or legal safeguards for international transfers.

11. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of your personal data, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
